The agency impacts 13,000 lives throughout Atlantic and Cape May Counties each year.
We are currently seeking a Skills Trainer, with emphasis on vocational & employment assistance to students (aged 14-21) with disabilities.
You will prepare clients with basic employment skills necessary to enter a competitive and integrated workforce.
Successful candidates of the program will be matched with internships with participating community based employers for 150 hours.
Position Specific Duties:
Ability to maintain work flow in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate with consumers to understand their vocational goals.
Coach consumers in effective job search techniques.
Guide clients in learning their job tasks.
Document activities in an accurate & timely manner.
Establish job Development with area businesses.
Maintain regular, professional communication with clients, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Service counselors, employers, and client families.
Position Requirements:
AA or BA degree in Social Services, Psychology, Education or related field.
Relevant work/volunteer experience preferably with similar population for one year.
Fleet - Position requires possession of valid drivers license.
When using agency vehicle or personal vehicle, employee must have proof of NJ Auto Insurance ($100,000-$300,000) Job Types:
